In reply to Delboy's post on December 6, I had the same problem solved it with new firmwire. Well, but i mention it in the my computer. Did you complete the troubleshooter for the drive that still does not work? I have a my pc, Dimension , for over a year now and have just had the same probelm with my drive. Try a commercial CD in a different computer to make sure it loads, then try it in the suspect drive. Some files are too large for CDs which the drive handles slowly, but OK.

So the drive is troublesome, cannot burn make lightscribe image, frequently error and showing "please insert disc".
